Tibetan Children’s Villages (TCV) with its head office in Dharamshala, India is an integrated educational community for destitute Tibetan children in exile as well as for hundreds of those escaping from Tibet.

The mission of TCV is to ensure all the Tibetan children under its care achieve a firm cultural identity & become contributing members of the Tibetan community & the world at large by providing:

Parental love and care to the children in need.
The best of both modern and Tibetan education.
A competent & dedicated staff.
A child-centered learning environment conducive to independent growth.
Learning opportunities to preserve promote & renew the rich Tibetan cultural heritage.
Suitable & effective life and career guidance for social and citizenship skills.

Today thousands of exile Tibetan children have gone through TCV & have scattered to different parts of the world after receiving their formal education from TCV schools with many of them serving the Tibetan community in different capacities. For many of the Tibetan children, TCV has been a home where they’ve spent the best part of their early years.

Though we feel proud to be an Ex-TCVians, many of us have lost contact with its Alma Mater. To meet this objective, TCV Alumni Association Switzerland was formed on May 6, 2006 with its base in Zurich, Switzerland.
